Manitowoc police had to use ‘narcan’ on a 31-year old male motorist on the fourth of July…after his vehicle crashed & he was slumped over & unresponsive behind the wheel. The incident came in about 3:00 o’clock yesterday afternoon from the 900-block of South 26th Street. An officer recognized signs of a drug overdose and administered a narcan auto injector to the driver, whose car traveled up onto the curb & came to rest on the terrace. The 31-year old admitted to police he had ingested heroin & was a frequent user of the drug. He was treated in the emergency room at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center & was later transported to the Manitowoc county jail on two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
