The Two Rivers city council discussed the issuance of industrial revenue bonds (IRB’s) to finance a $7.2 million expansion project by Riverside Foods at their meeting last night. The expansion project will add a roughly 20,000 square foot building for the company, and will add 35 jobs. Riverside Foods has seen a rise in demand for their line of frozen appetizers, prompting the expansion. Riverside is also attempting to acquire the city owned lot on the corner of 26th and Wilson Streets for additional Employee parking. For more information on the project, visit www.riversidefoods.com.
