Jerome J. Duffeck, age 76, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. Jerome was born on September 10, 1942 in Lena to the late Slavy and Frances
(Konkel) Duffeck. He graduated from Lena High School with the class of 1960 (6th in his class if you really wanted to know). On October 9, 1976, Jerome married Donna M. Vigue in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2016. Jerome had worked at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry from 1968 until his retirement in 2005, and he had served as the Local 125 Union President for 29 years. Jerome enjoyed playing BINGO, golfing, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. Survivors include Jerome’s seven children, David (Katie) Schulz, Whitelaw; Christine (Peter) Hauterbrook, Casco; Jeff (Sheila) Duffeck, Green Bay; Paula Bergsbaken and her significant other, Bryan Christ, Shawano; Mary Beth Kindt, Green Bay; Jena Marie (Randy) Oestreich, Manitowoc; and Melissa (Rick) Oestreich, Manitowoc; a granddaughter. Catherine Schulz, and great grandson, Gaven Kolosso, both at home; 30 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Carol) Duffeck, Lakewood; sister, Delores Schlies, Green Bay; three sisters-in-law, Joyce, Lynn and Eileen Duffeck; Donna’s siblings; and many other relatives and friends. Jerome was preceded in death by two sons, Jerald Schulz Jr. and Jay Duffeck; son-in-law, David Katzenmeyer; daughter-in-law, Sheree Duffeck; granddaughter, Brandi Duffeck; four brothers, Clarence, Clifford, Donald and Frank Duffeck; sister, Jane Behnke; brother-in-law, Al Schlies; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Duffeck. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with cremation to follow at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Following the funeral service, a dinner for family and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
