Bandits to Host Military Appreciation Day

The Manitowoc Bandits baseball team will be hosting a Military Appreciation Day double header tomorrow. The pregame will begin at 4:00 at Municipal Field, with the Bandits taking on the Heat, also from Manitowoc, at 5:00. A special Military Tribute will take place right before the Bandits take on the Branch Blaze at 6:30. Veterans and Military personnel will receive free admission, a brat or hot dog, and a drink while general admission is only $1. Fans are being asked to bring some items to be sent in care packages to U.S. Troops that are serving overseas. Some suggested items to bring would be toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, snack foods, drink mixes, pens, pocket notebooks, CDs, DVDS, puzzle books, reading books, and other personal care, and entertainment items.
