Ever since former teacher Kerstin Westcott resigned from her position at Washington Middle School in Green Bay, sighting physical, mental, and sexual abuse by students toward teachers and students, earlier this month, the public has awaited the response from the Green Bay Area School District. The school board addressed the issue yesterday during a school board meeting. The board said they were preparing to roll out a new guide which will address student behavior expectations as well as consequences for the upcoming school year. More staff will also be added, with an emphasis on accountability. Parents that wish to provide feedback, can do so at one of three meetings which will take place on July 24th at the school. Westcott has since taken a job in the Manitowoc School District.
