The South Division beat the North 6-2 in the Northwoods League All Star Game on Tuesday night in Wausau. The South scored four times in the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie, as Cole Daily of the Madison Mallards drove in the decisive run with a single. Stevie Mangrum of the host Wisconsin Woodchucks received the “Star of Stars” award as the game’s M-V-P, after he doubled home one of the runs in the eighth — and he went two for three on the night with two R-B-Is and a run scored. Connor Manous of Kalamazoo got the win for the South, as he pitched out of a jam in the eighth to record the final two outs. In the All Star Home Run Derby that preceded the game, the North belted 13 homers to the South’s eleven — and Zach Zubia of Rochester was the top individual hitter.
