The Milwaukee Brewers are fading fast, losing again at Pittsburgh 3-2 in ten innings Wednesday night. The Crew is now 2-4 since the All Star break while the second place Cubs are 6-0, slicing the Brewers’ National League Central division lead to just one and a half games. Domingo Santana hit a solo homer in the eighth to put Milwaukee up 2-1 — Francisco Cervelli tied the game in the ninth with a bloop single to right — and rookie Max Moroff won it for the Pirates in the tenth with a short single to center. Former Pirate Jared Hughes took the loss and dropped to 3-2, and Corey Knebel gave up the tying run in the ninth and ended his Major League record streak of 46 straight appearances with at least one strikeout. The Brewers will try to avoid being swept when they play the finale of their four game set at Pittsburgh this (Thursday) afternoon as Jimmy Nelson starts for the Crew against Jameson Taillon.
