Packers’ Assistant Darren Perry Fined For Drunk Driving

Green Bay Packers’ assistant coach Darren Perry has been fined 225 dollars for first time drunk driving. And with various other fees and court costs, his total penalty is 956-dollars. Perry’s lawyer says the Packer safeties’ coach was at a staff gathering last December where he drank too much and ate nothing — and when a Brown County sheriff’s deputy stopped him, a blood test showed that his alcohol level was point-two-one — more than twice the minimum for drunk driving. The 48-year-old Perry struck a plea deal in which several charges were dropped including a refusal to take a breathalyzer test, and unsafe lane deviation. He’ll lose his driving privileges for eight months starting next Thursday, when training camp practices begin and plenty of Packer personnel will be around to give him rides to and from his job.
