An Ashwaubenon Police Officer was struck by a passing motorist on Interstate 41 Saturday evening. Reports say that the officer was at the scene of a car fire near Waube Lane just before 11:30 pm, when a passing vehicle struck him. The officer was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver was arrested for operating while under the influence of alcohol. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting a crash investigation.
