Training camp begins today (Wednesday) for the Green Bay Packers, as players have started moving into their quarters for the next month at Saint Norbert College in De Pere. They’ll have physicals to make sure they’re ready to start practicing tomorrow (Thursday) morning. Normally, G-M Ted Thompson keeps at least one undrafted rookie for the regular season roster — and punter Justin Vogel could be the best candidate this summer as last year’s punter Jacob Schum was let go. On Tuesday, the Packers announced several changes which filled out their scouting operation. John Wojciechowski (wo jih cow skee) was promoted as the director of pro personnel — and Richmond Williams and Luke Benuska were promoted to pro scouts, while former Packers safety Charlie Peprah was given a college scout’s post along with Joe Hueber and Matt Malaspina.
