It’s the time of year for road construction, and there are several projects happening throughout Manitowoc. According to Mayor Justin Nickels, the big one is going on from Dewey to Viebahn, which is expected to be completed around October. The Mayor went on to say that there are several maintenance projects going on throughout the city. He also stated that the maintenance budget was tripled this year, in part so the patchwork could be done on the city streets. A big part of that patchwork is fixing potholes. Nickels also told us that the root system of the trees are partially to blame for the conditions of certain roads.
