The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been positively identified in the city of Manitowoc by the Deparment of Natural Resources. The pest was seen in the 900 block of South 20th Street, and infested trees can be seen on public and private property in the immediate vicinity. The EAB is fatal to nearly all Ash trees that are left untreated. Ash owners should consider protective insecticide treatment after considering several factors, including the current structural and health condition of the trees, age, size, and the number of trees.
