A judge in Green Bay is scheduled to decide today (Friday) if there’s enough evidence to put a woman on trial for injuring a police officer while driving drunk. Twenty-eight-year-old Kalin McGuire of Greenleaf has a preliminary hearing set in Brown County on charges of causing injury by drunk driving, and O-W-I with a child in her vehicle. The injured officer, Brian Murphy of the Ashwaubenon Public Safety force, was released Thursday from a hospital after getting life threatening injuries in the July 22nd incident. W-L-U-K T-V says law enforcement vehicles escorted him to his house. Prosecutors say McGuire was driving home from a wedding reception when her vehicle hit Murphy — who was directing traffic at a car fire on Interstate 41 near Green Bay.
