Senator Frank Lasee of DePere voted earlier this year to expand access to medical marijuana in Wisconsin. According to public disclosures, in 2016, Sen. Lasee bought somewhere in the range of $5,000 to $50,000 in stock in Canopy Growth Corporation, a Canadian based pot producer with global ambitions. The Senators votes could be seen as a conflict of interest, because of his stock in the Canopy Growth. Sen. Lasee has not issued a statement on the topic.
