At about 9:00 PM on Friday evening, a motorboat struck the South Pier in Manitowoc. When the Manitowoc Police arrived, the 26 foot cabin cruiser was partially on the pier. The driver of the cruiser was a 56 year old Two Rivers man, and he was transported to Aurora Medical Center, and was booked on a charge of Operating a Motorboat Under the Influence. The boat was towed from the pier and transported to te Manitowoc Marina by a U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue team, stationed in Two Rivers.
