A group is working to be proactive in training college students about how to react to different types of protests. The U-W-Eau Claire Democrats hosted a non-violent protest training Thursday as a way to help students better react to possible situations on campus or in public. The training included discussion of protesters’ rights, what lawful and effective protests look like, and how to get a point across without bad publicity. It also included some self-defense tips from campus police.
