A portion of the 9/11 memorial in Green Bay will be decommissioned next week. The monument, which pays tribute to those who perished in the terrorist attack on September 11th 2001 in New York City, has deteriorated since being erected in 2005. The names have become illegible, and some see that as disrespectful. Today, the city will hold a ceremony AT 8:45 am to respectfully decommission the monument. The remaining pieces of the monument will be put in storage until the city decides what to do with them.
