Fifteen dogs and ten cats are said to be adjusting well to new digs at the Wisconsin Humane Society in Milwaukee after being sent north from a shelter in Fort Myers, Florida before Hurricane Irma hit. The animals arrived Saturday night and more will be coming soon. The shelter in Florida wanted to evacuate all its animals to prepare for what are expected to be high numbers of animals displaced by the hurricane. The animals at the WHS are expected to be available for adoption this week.
