Manitowoc’s Superintendent of Schools is pleased with a recent announcement that the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association has purchased a “concussion insurance policy” covering high school athletes. Mark Holzmann said “Headstrong” is a great opportunity to help protect students’ health. Young people in grades 6-thru-12 participating in sports-sanctioned by the WIAA will be covered for free. The state association is paying $1.50 per child for the concussion insurance.
