Is Appleton Going to Become a Sanctuary City?

Is Appleton trying to become a sanctuary city?  Last night the three Appleton aldermen presented a new resolution that says Appleton Police should not do the work of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE agents. Meaning, Appleton Police officers would not be looking for undocumented immigrants to deport, or demand papers from crime victims or witnesses. Supporters of the resolution say it does not break any federal laws and there is no language in the resolution that declares Appleton as a sanctuary City.
