NASCAR: Kenseth Makes First Playoff Cut After Placing 11th

Matt Kenseth of Cambridge advances to the second round of the playoffs in NASCAR’s top series. He’s eleventh in the standings, after taking eleventh place in Sunday’s Monster Energy Series race in Dover, Delaware. The playoff field was cut to 12 for the next three races after the bottom four drivers in the original field of 16 were eliminated. Non playoff drivers Danica Patrick, who was born in Beloit, placed 18th at Dover — and Paul Menard of Eau Claire was 26th.
