Cedar Crest has a new flavor.
The local ice cream manufacturer announced the winner of their annual flavor contest, and the Trailblazers 4-H Club in Holmen were the winners for their Road Trip Wisconsin idea.
The La Crosse County 4-H group’s flavor includes chocolate ice cream, walnuts, ribbons of caramel, and pieces of cheesecake, each representing a different aspect of the state.
As the winners of the contest, the Trail Blazers will receive $300, while all finalists will get to host a Cedar Crest Ice Cream Party.
Cedar Crest and the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation put on the contest as an opportunity for youth in the 4-H to learn to work as a team to create the flavor.
