The Manitowoc Noon Rotary Club is reaching out to the community as part of their 32-year mission to eradicate polio. While the crippling disease is definitely on the downfall, there were still 9 cases reported this year in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The club states that they are 99.9% to their goal, and are looking for support in the final push to achieve eradication. The Rotary has donated nearly $1.6 billion plus countless volunteer hours since 1985 to help protect more than 2 billion children worldwide. For information on how to donate, visit www.rotary.org.
