The Wisconsin Agricultural Education Center— a state of the art education center currently under construction on county highway C off i-43 in Newton—has a new “doing business as” name and logo. Executive Director Melissa Bender says when they open their doors next year they will be proudly known as the “Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center”. In a news release the Board of Directors said they always knew the center needed a stronger—market-friendly brand that would be easy to say and remember and said after several conducted market studies “Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center” far surpassed all other proposed names with consumers to ensure the new name’s viability. WAEC Board of Directors President Julie Maurer says “this new identity honors our heritage as America’s Dairyland and welcomes visitors to explore the incredible world of agriculture. Maurer adds “we couldn’t be more excited for the day when the Farm Wisconsin Dairy Center becomes a household name like other notable Wisconsin destination like Lambeau Field—House on the Rock or the Harley Davidson Museum”. Their capital campaign is currently at 93 percent of their $13 million goal. Contributions are being accepted and celebrated by visiting www.buildwaec.org.
