Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels issued a statement yesterday, stating the City of Manitowoc is working closely with all branches of government to “monitor and respond to the Coronavirus”.
He stated “Current information suggests that person-to-person spread is continuing, and more cases may be identified in the United States. The City of Manitowoc reminds our citizens that we each play an important role in getting ready and staying healthy.”
He went on to clarify that “Maritime Metro Transit is maintaining normal operations and all City programs will be held as scheduled.
This includes the extended hours at The Rahr-West Art Museum for Youth Art Month, regular Senior Center hours programming, and all programming at the Manitowoc Public Library.”
He did advise that if anyone feels sick, they should stay home.
