Health Officials have declared a “Community Spread” of the COVID 19 virus in Manitowoc County.
Emergency Management Services Director Travis Waack says “That’s based on the investigation on those first three cases.
There’s some instances where we are unable to determine where they initially contracted the virus, which means they got it out in the community.”
Yesterday’s confirmed test is the third in the County in the last four days. Waack reminds people that they “have to stay home for all but the most essential reasons. These next couple of weeks are very crucial as we see more and more cases coming in.”
Waack tells SeehaferNews.com that he’s heard people planning in-person gatherings to celebrate Easter on Sunday, but he says “This is banned under the state order…If you want to celebrate Easter with the people that live with you in your house, that’s wonderful, but you cannot have people come over that do not normally live in your house.”
