The Wharf-Manitowoc in partnership with Powerhouse Productions LLC and Brennan Seehafer Productions will light the Briess Malt and Ingredients Grain Tower with blue tomorrow night to honor the healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brennan Seehafer is the Owner of the Wharf and President/Owner of Brennan Seehafer Productions. He says the display will turn on at 7:45 p.m. and shine until 11 p.m. He says “the selfless healthcare workers who are on the frontlines of this public healthcare crisis are true heroes and the act of lighting up a city in blue lighting is a small but highly visible way to express our support and appreciation during this trying time.”
The tower is located on the waterfront behind the Wharf in Manitowoc and Seehafer encourages those that come down to stay in their vehicles and just do a drive-by. There’s also a large parking lot people can park in to watch and maintain social distancing.
Besides lighting the tower, Seehafer says the display will also feature four high-powered searchlights that will be seen in the sky. He adds “Everyone is in this together and the only way we are going to be able to get through this is to work together. All the kind and thoughtful things that the City of Manitowoc and Manitowoc County citizens are doing makes this just a little bit easier to go through.”
Brennan encourages those who take photos to post them on social media to show their support as well.
