A central Wisconsin doctor has been placed on leave after violating the governor’s Safer at Home order by attending a rally.
Doctor David Murdock says he attended the event to learn more about the ways the coronavirus affects communities in non-medical ways.
Murdock says he’s writing a book and the final section will focus on COVID-19 and its impact.
Aspirus says Doctor Murdock won’t be seeing patients for the foreseeable future.
Hospital officials say they respect his right to free speech and assembly but don’t condone his violation of the governor’s order and hospital policies.
