Governor Tony Evers is responding to the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce’s plan to re-open businesses in the state. The governor said a May 4th re-opening date is inconsistent with both his Badger Bounce Back and the president’s plan.
Evers says the key to re-opening will be tied to the percentage of people testing positive, not just the raw number of cases. Evers says the state expects to see more positive coronavirus testing results as more people are tested.
The Badger Bounce Back plan requires two weeks of falling positive case numbers before Wisconsin can get back to business.
