Brown County now has the dubious title of having the highest infection rate for COVID-19 in the entire state of Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports Brown County has 298-point-seven positive cases per 100 thousand residents. Milwaukee County is second at 275.5.
Brown County vaulted into first place after the J-B-S U-S-A beef production plant was shut down following an outbreak.
The local health department has linked 189 cases to that plant.
