The Chicago Cubs overcome a three run deficit to win at Washington 9-8, taking their National League Division Series three games to two. Addison Russell drove in four runs and closer Wade Davis threw a seven out save, as the Cubs try to repeat as World Series champions for the first time since 1907 and ’08. The Cubs scored four runs in the fifth inning and took their first lead of the game on a two run double from Russell off Max Scherzer, who took the loss. Former Brewers’ reliever Brandon Kintzler gave up one run in the sixth for Washington. The field is now set for the League Championship Series as the New York Yankees open the best of seven A-L series tonight in Houston — while the Cubs open the N-L-C-S tomorrow (Saturday) night at Dodger Stadium in L-A.
