Seven….local high school football teams have received bids to the WIAA playoffs. Brackets in all 7-divisions came out this weekend…with Manitowoc Lutheran, Two Rivers and Kiel ‘all’ getting level-1 ‘home’ games next Friday night.
In division-4: the TR Raiders earned a ‘4’ seed & they’ll host EWS foe, Chilton. The winner advances to play the Sheboygan Falls/Obama SCTE victor. Kiel…gets a ‘2’ seed & hosts #7 Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/County Christian.
In division-5: Valders…drew the 6th seed in its’ bracket and the Vikings travel to #3..Howards Grove. The winner faces either #2 Southern Door or #7 Laconia. And, #4 Kewaunee is hosting New Holstein, a ‘5’-seed.
In division-6: ‘Manitowoc Lutheran’..receives a ‘3’ seed and a ‘home’ game vs. #6 Cambridge next Friday. The winner then gets either #2 ‘Racine’ Lutheran or #7 Belleville. Both Reedsville & Mishicot get the 8th seed in their respective brackets: the ‘Panthers’ travel to top-ranked St. Mary’s Springs….while the ‘Indians’ are on the road to meet another ‘1’ seed, Iola-Scandinavia.
And, in division-7: Hilbert/Stockbridge gets the ‘5’ seed & takes to the road…to play #4, Almond/Bancroft.
Kickoff time for those opening round games is scheduled for 7:00 o’clock.
