The Milwaukee Bucks open their N-B-A regular season tonight (Wednesday) at Boston against a Celtics team that already has one loss and a major injury to deal with. The Celts dropped their opener at Cleveland Tuesday night 102-99 — and Boston lost one of its top free agent pickups when Gordon Hayward suffered a left ankle injury. The Bucks return 12 of their 15 players from last season, including All Star Giannis Antetokounmpo who will clearly be their team leader. Teammates say Giannis improved the weakest area of his game during the offseason — his outside shot, as he only hit 28-percent of his three point attempts last year. On Tuesday, the Bucks resigned Gary Payton the Second to a two way contract, meaning he’ll go between Milwaukee and its new Oshkosh team in the developmental “G” League.
