Wisconsin driver Matt Kenseth has been eliminated from the playoffs of NASCAR’s top series, after he got swept into a 14 car crash Sunday. It happened almost three fourths of the way through the Hollywood Casino 400 in Kansas City, Kansas on a day in which the playoff field for the Monster Energy Series was scheduled to be cut from 12 drivers to eight. Kenseth would have to win the race or get some major help to stay in contention — but he says he’s “more than disappointed” at how things ended. He’ll join the group of non playoff drivers in the season’s final four weeks. Kenseth finished 37th at Kansas and Beloit born Danica Patrick was in the same wreck and placed 38th. Paul Menard of Eau Claire finished 12th.
