His wife says Bart Starr will not return to Green Bay after making his final visit this past weekend. The 83-year-old quarterback legend donated seven items to the Packers’ Hall of Fame including his favorite ring — a Super Bowl Two championship ring with three diamonds that commemorated Green Bay’s N-F-L titles in 1965, ’66, and ’67. His son said Starr wore that ring more than any, and he also donated his Packers’ Hall of Fame induction ring from 1977, three watches, and jackets from his two Super Bowls. Starr returned for the Packers’ 50th anniversary reunion of the team that won the “Ice Bowl” at Lambeau in 1967. Starr lives in Alabama, where he’s dealt with a heart attack and multiple strokes and seizures from 2014.
