Wisconsin has set a new record for the number of COVID-19 cases by topping one thousand for the first time Tuesday.
The state Department of Health Services reports 1,117 positive test results were recorded.
Wisconsin has now had more than 800 new cases every day for the past week, running the overall total to 44,135.
Thirteen more deaths put the state’s death toll at 859 – or, just under two percent of all positive cases.
Twice as many people were tested in the last 24 hours.
About 22 percent of the state’s 11,398 hospital beds are still available.
