For quite some time, the 26-35-year-old age group has been the most affected by COVID-19 in Manitowoc County, but if the recent trend continues, that will change.
Over the last several weeks, the number of people affected in the two groups comprising 46-65-year-old citizens has grown, with each accounting for between 80 and 90 cases. The 26-35-year-old group accounts for just shy of 100 of the 476 total cases.
That number rose by 11 in yesterday’s report by the Manitowoc County Health Department, along with 8 new recoveries and 207 negative test results. 221 people are still fighting the virus while 11,991 tests have come back negative.
In Sheboygan County, the numbers look very similar as 10 new cases were reported, 18 recoveries, and 252 negative tests. This leaves the pandemic totals at 972 cases, 88 of which remain active, and 26,478 negative test results.
