Several people have been issuing condolences to the family of the yet unnamed second person to die in Manitowoc County in connection to COVID-19.
In their update on Thursday, the Manitowoc County Health Department reported the second death contributed to COVID-19, and within 24 hours many had commented on the Facebook post. One man called for the for people to stop “commenting about political conspiracies” and to give “even an ounce of respect for their family.” This was said in response to a number of people claiming the masks aren’t working, while others pointed to people gathering and not wearing them.
This new death is the first since April 26th, when 76-year-old Mishicot resident Ernest Boettcher passed away due to pneumonia, which was complicated by COVID-19.
