For the last 10 days, the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in Manitowoc County has outweighed the number of active cases, and the distance between the two numbers is getting bigger.
The tide shifted for the first time on August 24th, after several days where the statistics were very close to each other. Then on that Monday, the number of recoveries jumped up, and became 28 points higher.
As of yesterday’s report by the Manitowoc County Health Department, 70 more people have recovered than are currently fighting the virus.
Also, as of that report, 550 have contracted the virus throughout the pandemic, with 239 cases remaining active and 309 people fully recovering. A total of 12,514 tests have come back negative.
In Sheboygan County, 5 new cases were reported yesterday, along with 12 recoveries and 77 negative tests, leaving the county with 1,090 total cases, 100 active cases, and 28,312 negative test results.
