As has been the case for the month of September, the number of new COVID-19 cases continues to be much higher than was the average prior.
21 new cases reported by the Manitowoc County Health Department yesterday, along with only 4 recoveries and 2 negative tests.
The huge difference in new cases vs recoveries has led to the number of active cases outweighing the number of recoveries for the first time since the August 24th report.
Manitowoc County now has 895 total cases, with 447 remaining active and 13,872 negative tests.
In Sheboygan County, 50 new cases were added, which includes all new cases from over the weekend.
One more person died in connection to the virus, raising that total up to 15.
The pandemic totals for the county now sit at 1,488 cases, 143 of which are active, and 34,011 negative test results.
