The number of new COVID-19 cases in Manitowoc County continues to rise at an alarming rate, and the people are calling for action.
In yesterday’s report from the Manitowoc County Health Department, 44 new cases were reported, along with 4 recoveries and no new negative tests. As a reminder, due to the influx of cases, the Health Department is focusing their attention on the positive cases, so the negatives will all be reported later in the week. The pandemic totals now sit at 1,146 cases, 630 of which are active, and 14,322 negative tests.
People have taken to Facebook to voice their displeasure, with one person stating, “I would like to see the County leaders take action to reduce the spread of this disease.” Others are not so keen on that option, with one saying, “Unless all of you plan on paying everyone’s bills, mortgage, food, I would stop asking for a shutdown.”
