The following is a release from Travis Waack, Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director, regarding the planned upgrades to computer systems:
September 30th, 2020
The State of Wisconsin has postponed planned upgrades to the Wisconsin’s Electronic Disease Surveillance System (WEDSS). The upgrades were planned for the weekend of October 3-4 and would have limited data reporting during that time. However, the upgrade has been postponed by the State until later in October.
WEDSS is the computer system used by local health departments across the State to report test results, patient information, and close contacts for a wide range of communicable diseases, including COVID-19.
