As we predicted yesterday, there was a rather large number of new COVID-19 cases reported yesterday by the Manitowoc County Health Department.
51 new cases were reported the day after only 2 came in, but that is due to a change in reporting procedures. The County has linked up with the State, which had a different time for when the 24 hour period began and ended.
On top of 51 new cases, 3 new recoveries were reported, and only 60 negative test results. That is the first time since the October 2nd report that there weren’t triple digit negative tests.
This brings the pandemic totals up to 1,556 cases, 927 of which remain active, 624 recoveries, 5 deaths linked to the virus, and 15,729 negative test results.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health reported 31 new cases, none of which came from the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. 33 recoveries and 478 negative tests were also reported.
This leaves their pandemic totals at 2,559 cases, 331 of which remain active and 572 of which are at the KMCI, 1,656 recoveries, 20 deaths, and 42,670 negative tests.
