The latest numbers from the Manitowoc County Health Department show a dramatic rise in COVID-19 cases over the weekend.
Statistics show a total of 206 positive cases over the past three days, including 62 on Friday, 60-Saturday and 84 yesterday. This brings the pandemic totals to 1,762 positive test results, 1,087 active cases, 670 recovered cases and 5 deaths of people who died of complications attributed to the virus.
A chart showing cases by Zip-Code reveals 45 percent of positive test results coming from Manitowoc, 12.5 percent from Two Rivers, just under 10% from Kiel and 8% from those residing in Reedsville.
There have been 15,920 negative test results thus far in Manitowoc County.
