Given that a month has passed since the major influx of COVID-19 cases in Manitowoc County, we are continuing to see a relatively large number of new recoveries being reported in the County as well.
In yesterday’s report from the Manitowoc County Health Department, 26 new cases were reported, along with 21 recoveries and 296 negative test results. This leaves the pandemic totals at 1,788 cases, 1,092 of which remain active, 691 recoveries, 16,216 negative tests, and 5 deaths attributed to the virus.
The 46-55-year-old age group continues to be the most affected by the virus, with roughly 300 cases attributed to that group. They are followed by the 26-35-year-old and 55-65-year-old age groups, who each account for roughly 290 cases. The 36-45-year-old age group is the fourth most affected, accounting for about 250 cases.
In Sheboygan County, a whopping 158 new cases were reported by the Division of Public Health. No new cases came out to the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution, leaving them with 632 cases. Also, 94 new recoveries were added along with 766 negative test results. This leaves their pandemic totals at 2,896 cases, 455 of which remain active, 1,789 recoveries, 20 deaths, and 43,645 negative test results.
