For the first time since October 24th, the Manitowoc County Health Department reported over 100 new cases of COVID-19.
A total of 319 tests were recorded yesterday, and 104 of them came back positive. That coupled with the fact that only 25 more people were added to the recovered column, means that the active case total has jumped back up as well.
The pandemic totals now sit at 3,205 cases, 1,763 of which remain active, 1,426 people have recovered, 16 have died, and 20,187 tests have come back negative.
The 46-55-year-old age group continues to be the most effected, accounting for over 550 cases, followed by the next age group up, who account for just under 550 cases. There is a virtual tie for the third most effected group, as the 26-35 and 36-45-year-old age groups each are at around 475 cases.
The City of Manitowoc is the most effected municipality, with 47% of all cases, with Two Rivers next at 13.6%. Kiel is third in that category, accounting for 9.9%.
