The City of Manitowoc Crime Prevention Committee is scheduled to gather this evening over Zoom.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM with a report from the Treasurer and time set aside for the public to voice their input.
The Committee will also be receiving updates from their high school members, the Manitowoc Police Department, the School Resource Officer, and the Citizens Academy.
Healthiest Manitowoc County will have a presentation on substance abuse prevention, before the Committee goes over the latest scams to hit the lakeshore. Those include phony emails from a scammer pretending to be from Amazon, as well as the ever-present phone call scams.
They will also be nominating individuals for the 2020 Crime Prevention Award.
The next Crime Prevention Committee meeting is scheduled for December 3rd at 6:30 PM.
This is the final meeting for the week in the Clipper City.
