It was another devastating day in Manitowoc County, as six more people have died due to COVID-19.
According to the report from the Manitowoc County Health Department, all six of these individuals were from Manitowoc. One of them was under the age of 75, two were between 76 and 85-year-old, and three were over the age of 86.
The city of Manitowoc accounts for roughly 47% of all cases in the County, and 63% of the 27 total deaths. 11 deaths have already been reported in November, the same number that occurred throughout the entire month of October.
Also in the report were 87 new cases of the virus and 73 recoveries. This brings the pandemic totals up to 3,864 cases, 1,980 of which remain active, and 1,857 recoveries.
The additional 174 negative tests raises that total up to 21,466.
14 patients were released from hospitals in the Northeast Region, leaving 187 still seeking treatment. 87% of all beds are still occupied.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, it was another day of staggering numbers of new cases yesterday, as 228 new cases were reported. This coupled with 133 recoveries and 268 negative tests leaves their pandemic totals at 6,850 cases, 2,338 of which remain active, 4,471 recoveries, and 33,060 negative tests.
Also, no new deaths were reported leaving the death toll at 41.
