The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center has hired a former “Alice In Dairyland” as a Program Manager.
Abigail Martin, who earned a degree in Dairy Science at UW Madison in 2018, represents the fourth generation to grow up on her family’s registered holstein farm outside of Milton, Wisconsin, where she found a love for dairy cattle and a sense of pride for the state’s agricultural industry.
Martin’s responsibilities will include coordinating educational workshops, hands on field trips, and engaging attractions for the Discovery Center. She’ll also oversee the Center’s Land O’ Lakes Birthing Operations.
Executive Director Patty Lehn says on Martin’s hiring, “Abigail’s experience as Alice in Dairyland aligns perfectly with Farm Wisconsin’s goals. She will tap into Wisconsin’s vast network of agriculture associations, producers, and processors to bring their knowledge and experiences to our visitors.”
