Over the weekend, four more deaths were added to the COVID-19 death toll in Manitowoc County.
All four of these individuals were from municipalities other than Manitowoc, with 2 under the age of 75, and the other two were between the ages of 76 and 85. All four deaths occurred on Friday.
Also over the weekend, 210 more cases of the virus were confirmed, 59 on Friday, 117 on Saturday, and 34 on Sunday, and 164 people recovered, 88 on Friday, 37 on Saturday, and 39 on Sunday.
That coupled with the additional 403 negative tests brings the pandemic totals up to 4,527 cases, 2,078 of which remain active, 2,416 recoveries, 33 deaths, and 22,668 negative tests.
The 46-55-year-old age group continues to be the most affected by the virus in the County, as they account for about 800 cases. The next closest group is the 56-65-year-old age group with about 750 cases. The 26-35 and 36-45-year-old age groups account for around 650 cases each.
TheĀ City of Manitowoc is the most affected municipality, with 47.3% of all cases, followed by Two Rivers with 15.1%, and Kiel with 9.3%.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, 152 new cases were added on Friday, along with 134 negative tests and 156 recoveries.
This brings their pandemic totals up to 8,173 cases, 2,595 of which remain active, 5,530 recoveries, and 34,591 negative test results.
No new deaths were reported, leaving their death toll at 48.
